This album was written and recorded simultaneously. I explored new voices and recording techniques as a means of generating compositions that felt fresh and unique, while retaining an obscured pop structure. After nearly a decade of zeroing in on pop forms and “traditional” instrumentation, I felt a need to return to my roots in textural and spacial soundscapes. I hope these songs can communicate the obtuse confusion and desperation of our time; living in a world that is objectively deteriorating. Dystopian soundscapes are punctuated by bursts of hope and inspiration. “See You Out” is at once the most obscured and personal record I’ve made so far.
